Introduction

Al Uzaizat Tribe start from two brothers Salameh Al Ghishan and Mousa Al Jamou3 almost 1400 years ago in 629 A.D. and most of their children and grandchildren have changed the original family name, while Al Ghishan family maintained their family name until today.

Al Uzaizat consist of 90 related families or more most of the families are related by blood and

85% are Christian families live in Jordan.

Al Uzaizat Original Home town was Kerak City until 1800s then the majority of the related families relocated to Madaba City looking for more peaceful area to live, while many other related families established homes for themselves in other parts of Jordan (visit Al Uzaizat division for details).

Al' Uzaizat history was carried by the word of mouth since 629 A.D. and in our recent history in the 1960s Dr. Youssef Shweihat the author of Al Uzaizat-N-Madaba was advised to write down and document Al Uzaizat history due to the facts many of our family members have died in 1814 from the Plague disease (الطاعون) originated in Egypt and spread worldwide have killed most of Al' Uzaizat members and we lost great amount of Al Uzaizat history!

الطاعون خطير جداً. يرجع سبب الإصابة بالطاعون إلى بكتيريا توجد أحيانا في الفئران والسنجاب والقوارض الأخرى والبراغيث التي تعيش عليها.

Al Uzaizat-N-madaba book

It was written by Dr. Youssef Shweihat with the help of the legendary Rocks Bin Zayed Uzaizi by meeting with family members (one-on-one). The 216 book pages can take us back to the family deep roots that recently HRH prince Ghasi Bin Mohammad in a welcome speech during the Pope Benedict visit to Jordan in May 2009 have acknowledge and assured the world that Al Uzaizat are the tribe who have been honored by Prophet Mohammad ( ص ) for their role in Mutah battle fighting next to the Islamic Army and saving lives! Al Mahadeen relations!

In the inside pages you will notice one of the original related families by the name of Al Mhadeen and their great grandfather (Sager) in 629 A.D. adopted the Islam while Aziz or Uziz remained Christians (book author assumed Sager and Aziz were Cousins)!

Al Uzaizat Modern History is all about "YOU" while alive, and this website www.Al-Uzaizat.com was established to document the Marar's family tree in 2005 and the project expanded to include Al Uzaizat Tribe and all related families.

"Nasser" will document the modern history on a daily basis as written and provided by family members and in their-own-words including; all related family trees (male and female); and the legacy webpages it will be established to each family member to document their accomplishments while alive (male and female).
